Based in Austin Texas, Mr. Weichbrodt is a “Qualified Appraiser” under § 170 of the Internal Revenue Code and has extensive business valuation and litigation experience, completing and reviewing over 1,000 business valuations since 1999. He specializes in business appraisal, divorce consulting, transaction due diligence, and litigation support services. Greg has provided litigation support and consulting services for individuals and businesses covering a broad range of industries. He has been deposed and testified as an expert witness in California and Texas. Greg has written coursework, taught classes, and presented on various topics for the California CPA Education Foundation, and various other groups.

Mr. Weichbrodt is one of the few business appraisers in Central Texas to earn the unparalleled Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”) designation from the American Society of Appraisers. Greg is the President of the Central Texas chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. ASA credential holders are held to the industry’s highest appraisal standards and continuing coursework completion with a minimum of 10,000 hours of demonstrated appraisal work required to earn the designation.

Mr. Weichbrodt earned a BA in Economics from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York in 1990, and an MBA – finance concentration, magna cum laude, from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois in 2001. He started his business appraisal career in 1999 at BDO Seidman, an international accounting firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Greg draws his personal knowledge of business operations, in part, from the purchase of a residential cleaning company in Austin, Texas that he currently owns with his wife Julia. He also spent nearly 10 years in multi-unit retail operations management prior to starting a career in appraisal consulting.

Mr. Weichbrodt gained considerable consulting experience by working for both large and small accounting firms prior to starting GRW Appraisal Services. He performed valuation and consulting services in Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and San Antonio, TX, before settling in his wife’s hometown of Austin, TX, in 2006. He founded GRW Appraisal Services in 2012. Greg has completed business appraisals for many purposes including:
